Weldborough Hotel is a traditional country pub in Weldborough, in Tasmania’s north east.
This hotel is one of the oldest in northeast Tasmania – the hotel started trading in 1876, where it catered to a large and thriving tin mining community which included many Chinese workers. Today, Weldborough is a small, quiet neighbourhood surrounded by farms and wilderness.
The hotel has a range of accommodation options including double and twin-share rooms, and a queen, family and bunk room. The family room can sleep up to guests and all rooms have electric blankets and heating. There are shared facilities and a cosy lounge area to relax. The hotel offers a fresh approach to pub food, sourcing produce as locally as possible. With a passionate approach to local food and drink, they proudly serve a selection of beers, ciders and soft drinks from every brewery in Tasmania.
Weldborough Township, now a small hamlet in the mountainous hinterland of the east coast between Scottsdale and St Helens, is surrounded by stunning rainforest.
Weldborough is approximately 90 minutes’ drive (123 kilometres/76 miles) from Launceston.
