Tin Shed Pottery

Tin Shed Pottery is a shared artistic workplace situated in Launceston, northern Tasmania.
The Shed offers an affordable studio space to aspiring and experienced artists with individual display areas. Resident at present are 16 artists practising a diverse range of art and craft also a shared work space for casual artists.
The resident artists work in various disciplines including functional, decorative and sculptural ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing and basketry, a glass bead artist, Polymer Clay jeweller, photography and mixed media, hand made books and textiles.
Visitors to the Shed can commission or purchase work in a variety of styles and designs, from rustic earthenware garden pots to finely thrown ceramic gift ware, watercolours and oil paintings, prints, and mixed media work.
Come in and browse through the remarkable range of quality work. Experience the creative ambience, talk to and watch the artists at work and buy direct from the maker.
Tin Shed Pottery is only a five-minute drive from the city centre, and a two-minute walk from the Queen Victoria Museum just over the road from Aurora Stadium. We welcome bookings for group tours and demonstrations and outside firings are welcome.
