The Keep at Conara

The Keep at Conara, south of Launceston, is a dedicated live-in arts workshop and gallery. It provides an immersive creative stay with the available mentorship of a widely experienced artist, J.G. Stewart. Guests can be left to do their own work or can be assisted when needed by the residential artist. The focus is helping you to achieve your creative work.
The public gallery visitors are welcome to explore creative practices and possiblitities. There is an onsite weekend kiosk for the travelling public to enjoy while viewing artworks.
With homemade meals and cosy bedrooms, The Keep has inside and outside workspace for you to make a mess in. Poets and writers are also welcome guests, in order to take advantage of the private, supported, uninterrupted work option.
Conara Junction is classified as a village; it is a quiet rural location situated on the Heritage Highway and cental to access Tasmania’s world famous beauty spots, before returning to Conara to creatively interpret your island experiences.
