Smart linen-napped tables and a professional welcome provide a hint of things to come at Terrace Restaurant in Prospect Vale. This is the northern casino’s premier restaurant and, while the decor and outlook are nothing to write home about, the food and wines are something else. For the last three years the Terrace Restaurant has been judged the best fine dining establishment in the state by the Tasmanian Tourism Council and in the Australian Hotel Restaurant and Caterers Association annual awards. And, for the past two years, the US Wine Spectator Magazine has awarded the restaurant’s wine list and walk-in cellar.
