Originally built in 1946, the three-bedroom property has been restored and furnished in the style of the era. Pioneer Cottage can accommodate up to six guests in one king which can be split into two king singles, one queen bedroom, and a third bedroom with two single beds. There is a fully-equipped, country-style kitchen, including an espresso machine. The house has two separate living areas with a television, DVD and CD player. There is also a barbecue area on the outside deck and a garage with internal, remote control access. The house has views of the surrounding mountains and Derwent River, and is set among landscaped gardens. Guests are invited to pick fresh produce from the fruit trees and vegetable patch.
Pioneer Cottage is located in central New Norfolk, and is a short walk from local cafes, antique shops and pubs. You can visit local vineyards, take a jet boat ride on the Derwent River or explore Mt Field National Park, a 30-minute drive west of New Norfolk.
