Orana House offers heritage accommodation at Lindisfarne, on Hobart’s eastern shore. Lindisfarne is a six-minute drive from the Hobart central business district and 12 minutes from Hobart Airport.
Orana House has a choice of 10 ensuite rooms including standard double rooms, queen-size river view rooms, a family room that sleeps five guests, a deluxe room and a spa suite. There is also a room suitable for guests with a disability. Some rooms have private external access. The living area has an open log fire and leather lounges and there is direct access to the verandah from which there are views of Mount Wellington. A full breakfast is served in the Iris Room each morning, and afternoon tea – including freshly baked cakes, muffins or cookies – is served daily. Complimentary port and chocolates are also provided.
Built in Lindisfarne Bay in 1909, Orana House is an Australian Federation home listed on the National Heritage Register. It is surrounded by three quarters of an acre of gardens and lawns and has mountain and river views. The property has been fully restored and is decorated with antique furniture, traditional wallpapers and memorabilia.
