Moorilla Refined wines are produced at Mona on the banks of the Derwent River near Hobart. The 3.5 ha site is Tasmania’s oldest contemporary vineyard and celebrated 50 years of vintage in 2012.
Moorilla has two wine styles: The Muse Series focuses on complexity and employs traditional techniques for a more traditional result. The Praxis Series shows traits typical of new-world winemaking.
Visitors can spend time at our cellar door where our expert staff plies you with a tempting array of still and sparkling wines. Or you can make your own flight of wines from our Wine Bar and do a spot of self education over a tasty casual meal.
If wine isn’t your drink of choice we have a micro-brewery as well called Moo Brew.
Cellar Door open Wednesday to Monday 0930 to 1700.
Come and enjoy our one-hour tasting experience for AUD10.
Every Friday at 1600 you can take a Moo Brew tour; AUD15; another excuse to talk about beer for an hour before you drink a few.
Moorilla at Mona is just 15 minutes’ drive (11 kilometres/7 miles) from the centre of Hobart, or take the fast catamaran service from Hobart waterfront.
