Little Pine Shack

Little Pine Shack offers quality lodge accommodation at Little Pine Lagoon in Tasmania’s central highlands.
Little Pine Shack comfortably sleeps six people. There are two large bedrooms with queen-size beds, a bunk room which sleeps three, fully-equipped kitchen and open living area. Laundry facilities and a barbecue are available. The Shack is eco-friendly, using rainwater and all electricity is solar-generated.
The Shack is just 50 meters from the shoreline of Little Pine Lagoon. The view from the panoramic north-facing windows of the living room allow for uninterrupted views of the lake.
Watch the trout, the water birds and every so often a platypus swim by, from any room in the Shack. When the mood suits you, grab your fishing rod and walk the shoreline of this pristine lake in search of the elusive trout.
The general store and pub nearby at the Great Lake at Miena are open daily. Why not visit the many lakes in the district such as Arthurs, Brady’s, Echo, Penstock or the Western Lakes. Experience some of the walks in nearby World Heritage and National Parks.
There is a minimum of two nights’ stay.
Little Pine Lagoon is two-hours-15-minutes’ drive (122 kilometres/76 miles) south of Launceston.
