Domaine A is an iconic Australian wine estate. Established in 1973, the historic Stoney Vineyard is the oldest in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. Vigneron H. Peter Althaus founded Domaine A after a worldwide search for ideal cool climate terroir. His vision was to find a site suited to crafting fine Cabernets that would stand proudly among the greatest in the world.
Domaine A is set in a pristine natural environment. Ancient soil, abundant sunshine and truly cool climate give rise to inspirational terroir founded on 200 million year old Jurassic Dolerite. Each Domaine A wine is a reflection of this extraordinary terroir with a proven record of critical acclaim and genuine ageing capacity.
