Lake St Clair Lodge

Lake St Clair Lodge offers 42 cabins beside Australia’s deepest lake within Tasmania’s Wilderness World Heritage Area.
A large range of accommodation styles is provided. Families and larger groups are best suited to the two-bedroom house, bungalows or loft style cottages (self-contained with separate living). Others may prefer a touch of luxury in our one of the suites or spa studios. Young couples may prefer the ensuite rooms, whilst the more budget conscious may prefer the bunkhouse, powered or unpowered sites. Enquire about the cabins with gas fireplaces and spa’s for added relaxation. Rooms feature king beds, some available in a twin-share configuration. Accessible rooms are available.
At the end of the world-famous Overland Track, Lake St Clair Lodge provides a ferry service, restaurant, bar, café and small store for convenience of guests. Visit the on-site National Park Visitor Centre for information on bushwalking and the ecology and history of the area.
The vessel, IDA CLAIR, operating year-round, routinely makes the 28 kilometre round-trip between Cynthia Bay, Echo Point and Narcissus Bay and return (minimum number apply). Pre-booking is strongly advised.
Lake St Clair Lodge is two and a half hours’ drive from Hobart midway between Hobart and Strahan. Turn off at Derwent Bridge.
