Guide Falls Alpaca Park

The Guide Falls Alpaca Park is located at West Ridgley, northwest Tasmania. West Ridgely is a twenty-minute drive south of Burnie (14 kilometres), a short distance from the B18 highway.
The Park features alpaca and other alternative farm animals in a working environment. You can join a hands-on tour and get acquainted with these friendly, sheep-like creatures. Alpacas are a domesticated species that originated in South America and are now bred worldwide for their sought-after fleece. Try your hand at spinning and weaving the soft, luxurious fleece in the craft rooms or browse in the showroom for locally made alpaca products and other crafts. You can enjoy Devonshire tea or a light snack in the café and the park also has a play area for children. There is access for people with a disability.
You can also visit nearby Guide Falls. Stand at the lookout and feel the spray from the cascading water, or take the walking track along the river to the covered barbecue and picnic area at the bottom of the falls, where you can even enjoy a swim in the river on a hot day.
