Gallery Pejean, a gallery of contemporary art, is located in the heart of Launceston’s CBD in the vibrant George Street precinct. Gallery Pejean promotes and presents the work of contemporary visual artists, working across a broad spectrum of mediums and artistic platforms. With emphasis on Tasmanian artists it represents award winning artists such as Archibald prize winner Geoff Dyer, well established and mid-career artists as well as emerging artists.
With two separate gallery spaces, a monthly program of exhibitions allows for both solo exhibitions and group shows, while constantly showcasing the gallery’s select group of artists, many whom have exhibited internationally. Artists represented reflect the shifting interests and concerns of contemporary art practice. Gallery Pejean presents the opportunity to view and purchase a diverse collection of paintings, drawings, etchings, linocuts, photography, sculptures, glass art and jewelry. Gallery Pejean is a participant in the COLLECT Art Purchase Scheme which is an interest-free loan scheme that enables you to purchase artworks by contemporary Tasmanian artists from participating Tasmanian art galleries.
