Camellia Cottage is a beautifully appointed one-bedroom, en suite cottage with a queen-size bed. It is set amidst one acre of botanical delights which you can stroll through at your leisure. A continental breakfast is provided and in the evening you can enjoy a barbecue overlooking the gardens.
The original homestead was built Circa 1910 and the gardens have been in continuous development since then and include gigantic trees bought as seedlings from Melbourne Botanical Gardens in the early 1900s. Included are over 35 different varieties of camellias, some right outside your door. You can enjoy breakfast on your own private jasmine-edged verandah and stand in awe of the ancient 40-foot magnolia tree, while delighting in the bird songs. Cloverlea Gardens are a short drive to tea rooms, beaches, waterfalls, blue lakes, the tin mine museum, cheese factory and the Forest Interpretation Centre.
The sleepy timber town of Branxholm is located about 90-minutes (93 kilometres/58 miles) north-east of Launceston.
