The Clarendon Arms Hotel (c.1847) is classified by the National Trust, located in Evandale, northern Tasmania.
The Georgian hotel offers a range of accommodation options including single, double and twin rooms. After breakfast, stroll in the lovely garden and through the streets of one of Tasmania’s loveliest villages with quaint cottages and flower-filled gardens. On Sunday you can enjoy the Evandale Market. If you’re there in February you’ll see the National Penny Farthing Championships – history in action! There are rivers to fish, forests to walk and, at Ben Lomond National Park, slopes to ski. You’ll be close to Launceston – historic, graceful and well-stocked with interest and restaurants.
Back at the Clarendon Arms, inspect the murals that depict local historic events, have a relaxing drink in the large beer garden while you contemplate your dinner, either in the hotel or in a local restaurant. Facilities include Tote and Keno and meals are available seven days a week.
The Clarendon Arms Hotel is only five kilometres (three miles) south of Launceston Airport.
