Captain James Cook Caravan Park

Captain Cook Caravan Park offers holiday accommodation on Bruny Island, off Tasmania’s south coast. Bruny Island is accessed by a 15-minute car ferry from the town of Kettering, a 40-minute drive (34 kilometres/21 miles) south of Hobart.
Located on the east coast of the Island at Adventure Bay, the park offers a range of accommodation including self-contained family cabins, one bedroom villas and fully furnished caravans. Powered and water-serviced camping sites suitable for campervans, tents and campervans are also available.
Park facilities include a camp kitchen – a welcoming, communal space equipped with a modern kitchen, tables and chairs and a wood heater, two covered barbecue areas and a communal laundry.
The park has direct access to Adventure Bay Beach, which was visited by explorer Captain James Cook in his ship the H.M.S Resolution in 1777. Here you can swim, picnic or take the walking tracks into South Bruny National Park.
