Bridestowe Lavender Farm

One of the most beautiful sights in Tasmania during December and January is Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Bridestowe Estate is located 55 kilometres from Launceston past Lilydale in Tasmania’s North East. After four years of intensive restoration, the famous landmark property is a stunning showcase for the agricultural and technical excellence that made Bridestowe a benchmark for fine lavender oil throughout the world.
Bridestowe Lavender Estate is spectacular at any time of year, with vistas spanning over 260 acres of lavender fields, landscaped gardens and native forest to the distant Mount Arthur.
For those who just want to indulge themselves, the visitor centre is stocked with unique products containing Bridestowe’s famous lavender oil. Products include luxurious bath milk or massage oil for your body. Or scented potpourri and room sprays for the home.
The Woodcroft Cafe offers a delicious range of lavender inspired and infused delicacies. Visitors are encouraged to try lavender ice-cream and lavender brownies. You can take home the experience with a purchase from Bridestowe’s gourmet range, which includes lavender flower honey, artisan jams and jellies, and culinary lavender, used in many of foods available in the cafe.
Nabowla is approximately a 45-minute drive north of Launceston.
