Black Rock Retreat offers discerning visitors luxury accommodation on the north west coast of Tasmania. Perched 100 meters above sea level in beautiful rural surroundings, newly built Black Rock Retreat gives guests unsurpassed sea views of the coast line. It is within easy travelling distance of the two main coastal towns of Burnie (a ten-minute drive) and Devonport (a 35-minute drive).
The accommodation looks down to the ocean where the earliest European settlers first came ashore. They used the “Black Rock” which can be seen clearly in the water at low tide as their landing jetty.
Black Rock Retreat offers intimate and private designer accommodation for up to four people with a full breakfast provided.
Lie in bed and admire the sunrise or watch the eagles ride the up drafts. Have a sip of Tasmanian wine in the spa to relax or enjoy some wellness therapy provided by a qualified remedial masseur.
The deck provides a good platform for viewing the farm below and native wildlife at night.
Black Rock Retreat doubles as a mini conference or workshop centre for up to 12 people. Morning and afternoon tea and lunches can be provided upon request.
