28 gates is a little piece of boutique, luxury accommodation in Tasmania’s beautiful Derwent Valley. Just a one hour drive west of Hobart, it is located on historic “Bloomfield”, a sixth generation, family owned grazing property.
The quality accommodation over two floors sleeps up to six people, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, a fully appointed European kitchen and laundry. Two bedrooms lead onto the balcony.
Lunch and dinner can be pre-ordered. Complimentary still or sparkling wine, hand made treats and full breakfast provisions on arrival.
28 gates is on a 5000 acre property that includes four private lakes stocked with rainbow trout. There are five walking tracks on the property and at least 60 species of birds have been identified. See native animal in their natural habitat including wallabies, possums, quoll, wombats, echidna, Tasmanian Devils and platypus. 28 gates is a 30 minute drive from New Norfolk and 35 minutes from the Agrarian Kitchen. Also close by are Salmon Ponds, Redlands,The Wall, Mt Field National Park and many more attractions.
