The Briar Patch offers fully renovated self-contained holiday house accommodation in Geeveston, Southern Tasmania.
The Briar Patch, circa 1931, has been tastefully decorated to reflect the charm and style of this bygone era.
The house comprises of two double bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with a queen bed), separate lounge and dining area with wood heaters, sun room, new kitchen and bathroom, and informal areas front and rear. Traditional features include high pressed metal ceilings, European woollen rugs, polished floors and vintage furniture. The combination of traditional and modern features enables visitors to relax and enjoy the serenity of the property or explore the surrounding attractions. There is excellent coverage of mobile phone and broadband services.
The Briar Patch site provides visitors with easy access to attractions including the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Hartz Mountains National Park, The Huon River and the southernmost point of Australia, all within short driving distance.
Guests may avail themselves of activities including bushwalking, fishing, enjoying local produce, wines, seafood, restaurants, fine arts and crafts, all whilst savouring the beautiful views and local wildlife.
Geeveston is a 53 minute drive (60 kilometres / 37 mile) South of Hobart.
