Wave’s Edge On Freycinet offers self-contained accommodation at Coles Bay on Tasmania’s east coast. Wave’s Edge overlooks Great Oyster Bay on the Freycinet Peninsula, at the edge of the Freycinet National Park.
Wave’s Edge is a modern, architecturally-designed house. The three-bedroom property includes a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry and two bathrooms. The living area has a surround-sound stereo system and DVD player. There is a private courtyard with a barbecue, and great views across the bay from the outdoor deck. The house also has air conditioning.
Wave’s Edge is only five kilometres from Freycinet National Park – a long peninsula jutting out into the Tasman Sea. Here, you can walk to Wineglass Bay, go swimming in the turquoise water and stroll on the white sandy beach. See the coast from a sea kayak, take a sea cruise, or go scuba diving. You can do a number of short or overnight bushwalks in the mountains or coastal heath lands, or visit Cape Tourville lighthouse and take the cliff top walk. For more adventurous visitors, try rock climbing and abseiling in the pink granite mountains of the Hazard Range.
