Hamptons on the Bay is located in Rocky Hills, a one-and-three-quarter-hour drive from both Hobart and Launceston. There are seven beautifully appointed cabins perched high above Great Oyster Bay looking across to the Freycinet Peninsula.
Migratory whales, dolphins, and sea eagles as well as wallabies, possums, wombats and echidnas can often be seen as Hamptons sits in a scenic nature corridor which is sparsely populated. The cabins are a great base to explore the east coast with attractions such a Wineglass Bay and Maria Island all within a 40-minute drive.
There are six one bed cabins all with queen beds and one two bed cabin with a queen bed and two king singles.
The area is renowned for its wineries and convict history as well as some of the oldest farms in Tasmania going back six generations. The climate is mild and rainfall remarkably low which all adds up to beautiful sunny days and mild temperatures. Swansea is a ten-minute drive away and has several great restaurants and cafes and supermarkets for provisions.
