Blueberry Bed and Breakfast is located just east of Burnie on Tasmania’s north-west coast.
The hosted country home at Heybridge is in a quiet rural setting surrounded by mature gardens and ocean views. It provides level access with some facilities for guests of limited mobility. Accommodation is a self-contained apartment that can sleep up to six people, with one queen size bed, one double bed and two single beds. This apartment has an attached kitchen, two bathrooms and its own entrance. The laundry and the recreation room with table tennis are shared. Special weekly rates are available.
The nine acre property is planned for permaculture farming with blueberry production its main focus. Various fruits, berries, vegetables and herbs are grown without chemicals. The back boundary meets a government reserve leading down to the Blythe River.
While you are there, you can visit nearby attractions including Gunns Plains Caves which is on the way to Cradle Mountain, Upper Natone Trout Fishery and Wings Wildlife Park. Just south of Burnie is the Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens, with special features all year round.
