Stefano Lubiana Wines

Stefano Lubiana Wines is a vineyard and winery at Granton, in the Derwent Valley. Granton is a 15-minute drive north of Hobart (18 kilometres), on the Derwent River.
Stefano Lubiana Wines is a family owned and operated business, with a focus on producing small quantities of handcrafted, cool climate Tasmanian wines. Fifth generation winemaker Steve Lubiana established the vineyard in 1991, bringing to Tasmania a family winemaking legacy stretching over 200 years. Varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Nebbiolo.
Stefano Lubiana’s highly sought after wines reflect his quest for perfection, detail and uniqueness. The 18-hectare (44 acre) vineyard employs an organic approach to viticulture and the innovative use of wild yeasts, barrel and whole bunch fermentation has produced a distinctive range of wines.
The cellar door offers a behind-the-scenes insight into a working winery. Here you can taste and purchase a range of wines, including the acclaimed pinot noirs. The complex, savoury ‘Estate’ has a soft and seamless palate and the ‘Primavera’ boasts good fruity characteristics, smoothness and structure. A range of other nationally and internationally acclaimed red and white table wines and sparkling wines are also available for tasting and purchase.
